Two winemakers who have marked the history of wine in Portugal in recent decades, in two regions that the world recognizes as having high quality and personality, the Douro and the Alentejo, meet again in a project designed for the Douro, in the regions of Cima Corgo and Douro Superior, two exceptional and protected terroirs. Thus Duorum was born, a project dreamed and carried out in the millenary vineyards of the Douro. Duorum Vinhos started its activity in January 2007 and expresses the desire of João Portugal Ramos and José Maria Soares Franco to join their professional activities of winemakers in a project to produce Douro wines with unique characteristics and an international dimension.
TEST RESULTS:
Vision: intense and deep red, violet tones.
Nose: intense, fresh and complex aroma, ripe fruits, such as blackberry, plum and cassis, some floral aromas, such as violets, and tertiary aromas such as spices.
mouth: firm, ripe and smooth tannins and balanced acidity. with great great volume and body, a long and elegant finish.
Region: Douro.
VINEYARD: schist soils: Terroir.
GRAPES: Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz.
AGING: Aged in barrels of 225 and 300 liters of French oak (30% new, second used and 3rd year 70%) for 12 months.
PREPARATION: once selected, grapes designed to enter the cellar, crushed and led to pressed stainless steel vats. At this stage, pre-fermentation maceration at low temperatures. Subsequently, fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28ºC.
PAIRING: meat, pasta, lamb, game.
ALCOHOL: 14%
