Winemaking:
Traditional method of making Port wines. After a partial strip of the grapes, with light crushing, the fermentation proceeds with skin maceration. Fermentation takes place with temperature control, being interrupted by the addition of cognac (fire water). The entire winemaking process is controlled by the winemaking team, considering the type of grape, its level of ripeness and the desired sweetness. This wine is the result of mixing a selection of white wines of a unique style, matured in oak barrels for an average of 17 years (approved by the IVDP at 10 years old).
Varieties:
Viosinho, Malvasia Fina, Gouveio, Arinto, Cerceal, Rabigato
Test results:
Amber, greenish-colored notes. Elegant and distinguished. It exudes an intense perfume of "nougat", citrus skin, coffee and mint. Impresses with age. Silky, refined, full-bodied, with a very long and persistent finish.
Store and serve advice:
The bottle should be in an upright position, at a constant temperature and away from intense direct light. After opening, consume preferably in 18 to 20 weeks. Port wine is a natural wine, so it can form some natural sediment.
Pairing with food:
It can accompany foie-gras very well, in addition to intense and rich cheeses. Nice game with sweet desserts.
