Winemaking:
It is vinified using the traditional Port wine method. The manually harvested grapes are gently crushed and, after partial removal of the stem, fermented with maceration, allowing the extraction of the best components of the grape skin. The entire process takes place under strict temperature and density control of the wine, allowing the producer to choose the ideal time for the addition of alcohol, essential to stop fermentation and maintain the natural sweetness of Port wine. This moment depends on the vine varieties, the stage of maturation and the final levels of sweetness required. The wines selected for the final blend of this reserve Port wine remains in the Douro after harvest and is taken to the company's traditional Port wine stores in VNGaia the following spring, where they mature in oak barrels. For several years, the wines go through numerous transfers, analyzes and tasting that monitor the aging of the wines, the preparation of mixtures, as well as refreshments and eventual adjustments when the tasting so determines. The final blend is composed of wines of different ages and origins, to obtain a consistency of style and quality typical of the Porto Ferreira Dona Antónia Reserve. Selected wines generally range from 4 to 12 years old, reaching an average age of about 7 years.
Varieties:
Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão, Tinta Amarela

Test results:
It presents a beautiful red color, with intense tawny tones that recall its slow maturation in the wood. Its bouquet is intense and rich, with notes of very ripe fruits (plum, apricot and marmalade) and floral notes. Complex, its spices and notes of nuts derive from the evolution of oak wood through oxidation. In the mouth, it is a full-bodied wine with a rich flavor, extremely well balanced, which combines elegance with a delicate and persistent finish.

Store and serve advice:
The bottle should be stored vertically, avoiding direct light and excessive humidity, ideally at a constant temperature of 16ºC to 18ºC. it is ready to drink and will not get better if it is kept for a long time. Serve between 12ºC and 16ºC.

Pairing with food:
It is a more versatile port. It is very good served alone, accompanying some selected starters or as dessert wine. It also accompanies most sweets, desserts and cheeses beautifully. Serve slightly cold for more enjoyment
